Why we exist

Abuja never had a table for its data people. Now it does.

Thousands of analysts and scientists work across the capital's agencies, banks, NGOs, telecoms, startups and universities, mostly without ever meeting each other. Data Circle closes that gap with one simple product: a regular gathering worth leaving the house for.

Learn one useful thing

Every gathering opens with one practical talk, twenty minutes, no fluff, something you can apply at work on Monday. Then members take the mic for lightning presentations of their own work.

Find your circle

Structured connection time, good food and honest career conversations. The senior data scientist and the fresh graduate sit at the same table here, because everyone started somewhere.

Actually unwind

This is not another lecture series. Music, games, jollof debates and the kind of laughter that turns colleagues into friends. Careers are built on competence and community. We supply both.

The First Timer Promise: someone will find you within five minutes of walking in.

That is a promise, not a hope. Look for the amber name tags. Nobody stands alone in this circle.
The format

Three hours, engineered for connection.

Every Data Circle follows the same rhythm, so you always know what you are walking into. Saturdays, usually once every two months, always in Abuja.

  • 12:00 PM

    Doors and first hellos

Arrive, grab a drink, get your name tag. Green for members, amber if it is your first time, so we know exactly who to welcome hardest.

  • 12:30 PM

    The Talk

One speaker, twenty minutes, one practical topic. Fraud models, dashboard design, salary negotiation, PhD survival. Real things, plainly explained.

  • 1:00 PM

    Lightning rounds

Two members, five minutes each, showing what they are building. From first dashboards to research prototypes. Applause guaranteed, judgement banned.

  • 1:20 PM

    The Circle

Structured mixing so you actually meet people, then food, music and free-range conversation. This is where the community happens.

  • 3:00 PM

    The group photo

Every gathering ends the same way, shot wide, posted within 24 hours. Come and find yourself in it.

Beyond the regular meetups

Each quarter we go bigger: panels with industry leaders, datathons, and career sessions. Once a year, the flagship: a full Data Circle festival for the entire capital region.

Everything is announced to the community first. Members always get first access to limited seats.

What the first circle felt like.

We are gathering real quotes, names and faces from Data Circle 001 right now. They land here as our members share them. Until then, this is what we stand for, and what everyone in that room signed up for.

"One useful idea and many useful relationships, every single time. That is the whole promise: come learn something, then stay and meet the people building alongside you."

The Promise
What every gathering delivers

"The senior data scientist and the fresh graduate sit at the same table here. Nobody is too junior to belong, and nobody is too senior to still be learning."

02
The Table
Who this community is for

"This is a community you help shape, not just attend. Every member leaves a mark on what Data Circle becomes next."
